The Client
inamo™ is like no other restaurant anywhere in the world. Located in central London inamo and inamo st james are pioneering Oriental fusion restaurants where the control of the dining experience is placed firmly in the customer’s hands.
At the core of inamo™ is its interactive ordering system, E-Table™. With an E-Table™ system, diners place orders from an illustrated food and drinks menu projected on to their table surface. Customers also set their table ambience, discover the local neighbourhood, and even order a taxi home.

The Requirements
The inital brief was very simple; to supply a compact, fanless computer to output to a projector. However as the project progressed we were given more informaiton about the project and what the system would be doing.
We discussed several options with the customer and they particulalry liked the idea of Windows Embedded OS since it offers the speed and reliability that the system required.

The Solution
The solution was to use our stock Tiny ITX mini PC chassis with an Intel Atom Dual Core CPU. The Windows XP embedded operating system was installed on a 2GB Disk-On-Module which gave the PC increased disk access speeds.
The finished system is installed into the roof above each table in the restaraunt and a projector displays the menu on to the table in front of the customer. A track pad is installed in the corner of the table so the customer can navigate through the menu and order their food.
