Case Study for Hampton School's new LRC

Cubid 3677

The IT department for Hampton School contacted us for advice on thin client computers, to be installed in their new Learning Resources Centre. We quickly ascertained that the system would also need to be used in a ‘fat client’ mode as well, so normal thin clients would not be powerful enough to cope with both systems.

The specification we came up with used our Cubid 3677 chassis which is very cost effective. Coupled with the very popular 1.3GHz VIA processor, they now have a simple cost effective solution to Thin and Fat client computing.

Ian Trevena, Network Manager, commented "I have had no complaints about performance or reliability, and am happy that we have chosen the best solution for our requirements - beating even the dedicated Thin Clients that we were looking at in both performance and capability".
